     Mr. Gilbert Lee Orndorff, 83, of Elliott City, MD passed away on Thursday, May 12, 2011 at St. Agnes Hospital in Baltimore, MD.
     Born February 5, 1928 in Brunswick, MD, he was the son of the late Clyde R. Orndorff and Beulah Halley Orndorff.
     He was a retired engineer with the B&O Railroad in Brunswick, MD.
Gilbert was a veteran of World War II, serving in the US Navy.
     He was a member of St. Peters Episcopal Church in Elliott City, MD.
     He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Roselyn Rockwell Orndorff, at home; one daughter, Karen Welsh and husband, Bill of Highland, MD; one son, Gregory Orndorff and dear friend, Cathy of Randallstown, MD; two sisters, Eileen Houlihan of Binghamton, NY; and Evelyn Best of Knoxville, MD; three brothers, Richard "Beasel" Orndorff of Brunswick; Bernard Orndorff of Lovettsville, VA and David Orndorff of Hagerstown, MD; two granddaughters, Kerry Nelka and Caitlin Welsh and one great grandson, Brenden Nelka.
     Services will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, May 18, 2011 at the John T. Williams Funeral Home, 100 Petersville Road, Brunswick, MD with Father Eugene Bolin officiating. Interment will be in Union Cemetery in Lovettsville, VA.
     The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to services
