Mr. Harry George Jr., of Brunswick, Saturday, Dec. 6, at Frederick Memorial Hospital.
     He was the husband of Bowie Marley George. They were married for 52 years.
He was the son of the late Harry Yakey and Lena Leslie George.
     He was a Lieutenant in the U.S. Navy during World War II serving from 1942 to 1946. A local businessman and an entrepreneur, he was the owner of S.W. George and Company of Brunswick.
     He attended Brunswick High School and was a graduate of Augusta Military Academy and Washington and Lee University.
     He was a member of the Harper's Ferry Cooking Club, the January Club, and the Cotillion Club as well as a life member of Steadman Keenan Post 96 of the American Legion in Brunswick. He also served as chairman of the advisory board of F&M Bank. He was a member of St. James United Church of Christ of Lovettsville, Va.
     Surviving are one daughter, Barbara Bowie George of Greensboro, N.C.; two sons, Harry George III and wife Darlene of Frederick and Randolph Bowie George of Brunswick; and two grandchildren, Lena and Olivia Eyring of Greensboro, N.C.
     Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 9, at John T. Williams Funeral Home, 100 Petersville Road, Brunswick, where the family will receive friends from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and from 7 to 9 p.m.
     Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 10, at the funeral home.
Interment will follow at St. James Cemetery, Lovettsville, Va.
     Bearers will be Fred Lee George, Renace Painter, Richard Mullen, Mark Tarleton, Jesse Thompson, and Danny Hurwitz. Honorary bearers will be Bill Hopwood, Lester Fraley, Andy Williams, Jeff Merriman, and Mitch McMurray.
     The Steadman Keenan Post Honor Guard will perform military honors at the gravesite with John Nelson sounding Taps.
