The museum buildingMuseum Preparing School Exhibit
Looking for your help

From Vicki Dearing

Vicki Dearing  with Jackie at the museum are working on a school exhibit. It will represent all the schools in Brunswick. ex. Shenks seminary, Catholic, Black and public schools. I was hoping you could post on the BHS alumni that the museum is preparing this exhibit and is looking for a picture of the first teacher in Brunswick, Ellen Theresa Brady she was later a Wenner. Also I would love a picture of our first graduate Mary Pearl Montgomery, later Danner.
I am looking for photos from the Catholic school and if there are any with the nuns in them that would be great. Also any class photos from the the Shenk Seminary and Black school.
I would also like a picture of the Hood Sisters when they were teachers.
I am open to any insight or ideas you might have for it.

I have another question that you might be able to answer. Can you remember how long the older desks were used in the schools. EX- the desks with the seat in the front and the table part connected on the back.

I have 1 at the museum and I want to put it on display with a picture of them in use. So would you have a picture inside the class room with students sitting in them?

Show this to your mother, father or grand parents to see if they can help.  This desk was probably use in the 20's or 30's, maybe early 40's

Send your information to vickidear1@juno.com
